Yeah Big, i think the early episodes are very important, even if the writers didnt know what direction they were going then they still must have to look over the early episodes and make sure everything makes sense, otherwise its just a load of crazy stuff that happend for nothing! lol
Also Richard is obviously very important but i think characters like Abbaddon could be big pieces to the puzzle. Because Abbaddon obviously knows everything thats going on and has a big hand in effecting things, we just dont know which side hes fighting for. But regardless of whos fighting for who i believe that theres an 'old guard' if you like of all these type of characters who may have all been on the island before similar to our losties now...

That 1st bit about looking back through previous episodes is obviously what writers do. What i meant is with all the little mysteries that go on in lost it seems like they are trying to solve these aswell as the major one's.

Hmmm i wonder if they have a list of the sub-mysteries that they're going to solve and one's which they are going to remain mysteries to keep us guessing

Yeah i like this idea aswell. It seems as if the writers are actually going back through the previous episodes and looking at ways to make it easier for us to connect the dots. When you mentioned the higher ranks would this also include Apert and Abbaddon? Maybe they have a different set of skills to each other and are used in different ways. After all it does seem that all 3 of them have a skill that enables them to coerce/pursuade people to take certain actions. I hope we get to see Abbaddons character more and find out what his role in all this is, apart from Locke and Ben he's by far my favourite character

whatistime, I certainly like the notion Christian Sheppard may not have been dead, as first believed.

Very original thought!

Thanks Swan, i think Christians death and appearances have been very mysterious. But now that we're seeing whats happening with Locke i think it provides a lot of explanation for what happend with Christian.
I think it would be a bit superficial and lightweight to say that Christian just happend to die in Austrailia and then when they crashed on the island Jacob used his body to talk through him, i think thats very unlikely. Christian definatley has his own timeline...

There are some Great Thoughts here. I especially like the thought that Christian had to make a "Sacrifice"
