Hi, I've been following these theories for some time now, but I only just now registered.

This Theory is absolutely correct. For I'm about to blow your minds away with what I'm about to say.

Remember way back. When they first showed Desmond waking up inside the hatch washing his hands, making breakfast etc.?

Well guess what else was happening? Remember that record that started playing? And it was some odd off the wall song and we all thought man, that's old? Really it was foreshadowing from the producers about the theory on time. I think it's no coincidence that they would show the record player in the hatch playing.

There have been other occurrences of the record starting off an episode to foreshadow this time theory.

Lostprofit glad you liked my ouroboros theory it was because of dabs theory why I researched it and posted it so yes she does deserve a lot of credit towards it and that is also why I posted this 1 it's been in my head since the beginning of the series and when I was looking up ouroboros I thought I have to post this
Eko you have got my thoughts spot on maybe that is why jack travelled back to 1977 and not 1974 because the record had spun another 3yrs
Also I'm not trying to say their is a loop or anything at play here I'm just trying to explain the timeskips

No, I understand what you are saying, I was just pointing out that that doesn't explain everything. My theories on Lost don't explain everything either. I think this is a good post and you may be on to something.

perhaps because of this... depending where you are currently, you can only skip to certain places in time (moving the pin back and forth but not up and down).

Trying to give credit where credit is due can be tough...

Interesting idea, although I think this really doesn't change much. The story will still be linear.

I did like the part of skipping from one line to another on the record's spiral, though, I don't honestly think this will ever be covered in the show. It's a nice idea of the tme travel may work since it is random.

The real merit thouhgh in this theory seems to be that LOST time itself is similar to a spiral. Along with this and Dab's post about the Ouroboros, I've come the conclusion that LOST time exists in shape of the Ouroboros. I going to do some research to look into further connections. Great job Samson.

losts-colombo, I can see what you are saying, and that is a possibility.

I am speaking about 'the island' when referring to the 'looping effect'.

dont get me wwrong, i know they are back in the seventies, and miles saw wee miles.

but something tells me this is diffrent from the kinda stuff that weird fed....
