I was thinking about the change issue. We know that Jack wanted to change 815 from ever crashing and others wanted, at first, to stop him. What else do different people want to change? I know some of them want to just get off the island or maybe back to their correct time but thats really about it, isn’t it? I’m asking because I really don’t understand and would like some input.

The only thing I can think of is the end of the world and or humanity. It’s never been mentioned directly on the show but the Valezenti equation has been mentioned elsewhere in connection to Lost. It was supposed to be able to predict when the world would end and that was a primary factor in Dharma being created in the first place. With Jacob saying what he said it would seem he was refering to that unless he was just talking about the end of his own existence but I don’t think so.
