Does anyone else think that Ilana may be more than human or special like Jacob and the other guy? When Jacob visited her she looked pretty messed up but it seems she healed really well and Jacob never touched Ilana so I don’t think he had a hand in it. Also Jacob had to ask for Ilana’s help like he was asking a favor from an equal or, possibly, it was a request to a goddess.

  1. I think she will have more of a role in the final season. As to what that role is, I have no idea.

  2. Angus, I looked up the meaning of Ilana’s name.

    It is Hebrew, and means ‘Tree’. The name dates back to the story of Abraham, and is in the book of Genesis.

    Jacob seemed to know Ilana, and she obviously knows much more about ‘the island’, given her words to Richard.

    She and Bram seem to share these secrets!
