That point about the MiB being at certain places and influencing events is probably right. When he said “you have no idea what i’ve had to do to be here” or something like that, he probably had to influence almost every event that happened to the people on the island.

Thats some cool stuff you noticed about jack knowing where to go. Maybe he remembers or is the only one who does, but then it makes me think how confusing it is cause Dan said they’ve done it all before but its the first time they’re experiencing it. But then does it just happen over and over and over again? Whoa sorry i just got way off topic

what i really thought was weird was rose’s comment…it was as if she had experienced smokey before but couldn’t remember where… and i think it’s a major hint. how long ago did the writers of lost start planning the time travel element??

Not sure if you’ll read this comment, but I posted this exact theory/question before on lost theories. Do you remember the episode charlie FIRST died in? Where Ethan killed him? Jack got to him as if he knew where he was going and got him down and as he was beating his chest he yelled “I WONT LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN” like he died the first time and things changed this time around.

Well, it would seem to go with the man in black’s plan to use Ben in the future to kill Jacob. After all, if it had not been for that happening, Ben would apparently be dead. Being that MIB seems to be able to trick people quite well, it is imaginable that he did indeed inform Richard of Ben.
