star trek time travel is impossible(maybe)

*****WARNING: ONLY READ THIS IF U HAVE SEEN THE NEW STAR TREK MOVIE. POSSIBLE SPOILERS*****

in the new star trek movie, the romulins go back in time. they then try to stop the destruction of romulis. if they had succeded, then in the future they would have no need to go back in time. causing romulis to die. causing them to go back………. it would create a paradox. could this apply to lost?

    Well I’ve personally met a real romulan and a vulcan and they both said that if it happens in a movie or a tv show then yes it is truly possible no matter what. what man says is law in the eyes of god.

    The romulans didn’t choose to go back in time, they were just sucked through the black hole so that eliminates the ‘how would they choose to go back if they changed the future?’ problem - so no paradox, and the creators have said no paradoxes in Lost either
