I like your idea that The Other Guy could have been an ‘island leader’ at some point. No matter what the island is, this makes sense to me. But it is interesting to liken it to other island leaders like Ben and Widmore….where there is a potential group of people he was ‘leading’ in essence. (As opposed to just the two of them hanging out on the island.)
