What did Richard Say? Was it in Latin?

When Elana ( think thats her name) asked Richard, ‘ what lies in the shadow of the statue?’. He answered her with something that sounded latin? At least thats what i thought? maybe it is a diferent language but it seems most of the people who have been on the island for a long time, or are a member of the others, speak latin. Just wondered if anyone has found this out yet because i imagine the answer to the question will hold great importance and give clues on whats to come.

    While I don’t disagree with you two, I just believe it makes for a far better story that Richard & all their answers were there with them the entire time.

    It’s kinda the how Luke Skywalker meets yoda effect in Empire Strikes Back.

    mixen dixen is wrong, many have said this is what richard says.

    the language he speaks is actualy polish, and he is aksed what lies in the shdow of the statue, to whic richard replies in polish.
