It got me to think. Kinda determine my own theory on what the end might be. We know Jack has kind of been the focus of the show. He took it upon himself to be the leader. During the first 3 seasons he was a man of science til the end. What if the end of the show involves a decision he must make like in donnie darko that would change the outcome of the entire show. The timeline they are in now is merely just him seeing how things must happen in order for him to change what happens after the crash of 815. If he were to let himself die or not take charge and not be the doctor that saves everyone, maybe locke or kate takes control and everything works out for the best for everyone including the others.
