Obvioulsy, Claire’s mom came out of the vegetative state some time right after 815 crashed.

I guess between the time of the crash and when the oceanic six are rescued Claire’s mom wakes up from her coma. She goes and visits Jack during a funeral type service for Christian after they are rescued. There she tells him about how she was “involved” with Christian at one point and how Jack has a half sister, Claire. I have no idea how or why she was able to wake from her coma… hope this helped a little…

It’s highly possible Jacob had something to do with it, but it’s hard to speculate because we don’t even know what happened to Claire.

Makes sense. I mean what are the odds that Claire’s mom whose been in a coma for however long just so happens to wake up when her daughter is stranded on the island. It’d be interesting to find out how/why this is.

OMG… Interesting, if Claire isn’t ‘really’ dead maybe that was Jacob’s deal w/ her. If she left Aaron unattended in the jungle, and went w/ her dad Christian, then Jacob would heal her mother, as he did w/ Juliet’s sister’s cancer. Nice Theory…

A similar thing happened with Kates mum.
She was dying from cancer before Kate arrived on the island. But when Kate was going through her court case after the O6 was rescued, her mother visited her and said
“My doctors have given me six months to live for the last four years.”
This to me suggests that Jacob had a hand in prolonging her mums life.
I also had a thought the other day about when Jack fixed Sarah. What if it wasn’t Jack who fixed her, but Jacob?
