A great read and a well constructed theory. I agree there are alternate timelines involved here and i also believe those timelines will be unified due to the detonation of jughead. I vaguely remember in Star Trek TNG, an episode where the enterprise was caught in some sort of temporal event and there were loads of Enterprises popping up everywhere. I think the rift was sealed by some sort of detonation in a specific area and i submit that this may be akin to the detonation of jughead. The explosion will unify the timelines as one (this may have been covered before so sorry if nicking someone elses idea). Where this would leave the losties and in what year god only knows but thats what i think will happen. I also remember hearing somewhere, and Dabs or another expert may be bald to back me up here, that the final scene was filmed long ago while Walt was still small and Jack was in the scene too.
