I didn't mean the paradox to be the focus of the theory just an aside to the main point. This main being that I believe a child crossbred from two seperate but distinct realities could be the key to the survival of both realities in theory. Sorry people didn't pick up on that on comment on that aspect of my theory as it's a practial use of quantum physics , which I think will be borne at as valid or pertinent in season six.

But it's only a paradox if you kill your grandfather in a time before you were born, thus meaning that you couldn't have been born, so you couldn't have killed him. If Cooper is Locke's father (which I don't think he is) then it wouldn't have mattered because they were in 2004.

Interesting.... I honestly don't believe that Anthony Cooper is John Locke's father.... I agree though that the producers wouldn't want to implement such a complex point 4 the everyday watchers to catch...(I think someone mentioned something about that in an earlier post.)

Hi daddyx, I just wanted to point out what the writers had to say in an interview about the 'paradox' issue. It was discussed on site awhile back, but I was able to locate the interview in which they made specific reference.

LINDELOF: We're not going to tell you that we're against bending the time/space continuum. We are very for it. Carlton and I are PRO time-space continuum bending! But we're ANTI-paradox. Paradox creates issues.

''This show is already confusing enough as it is.'' To actually have characters travelling through time has to be handled very deftly.

Hope that helps on the 'paradox' issues.
