I really liked the ending... The way that Denzel's character at the end got that weird look on his face and just said, Nah! I believe it was because you now have a dead Denzel and a live Denzel in one timeline... It's as if the live Denzel is now subcounsiously aware of what transpired... I thought it was brilliant.

Now take the fact that we have two Locke's in one timeline... I am of thought that Locke is Locke and not Nemesis at all... But, he is in fact a more enlightened Locke.

As far as Futurama goes; I've never watched it. So, I won't be much help with your thoughts. But, the funny thing is, I can't say that I haven't had the same thought! All I will say about it right now is that it involves Christian Shephard!

elsewhere, yes I am refering to that podcast. But the end of the movie was a little rushed. The best part of that movie is where he is the observation pod and shines the laser light and she sees it.
A quick aside:
I had an idea, I was reading when someone mentioned Futurama time travel, they forgot to mention the follow up that since Fry had always been his own grandfather it cuased him to be different/special he was missing a certain brain wave which allowed him to not be detected by the big brain thingys and in turn allowed him to save the world. Since we know it is definitely not Back to the Future time travel maybe this is a little bit of what it is. Just throwing that out there.

Hmmm... Yojimbo, Now I'm not so sure!!! lol! But, I think she may be referring to a podcast (think it was a podcast) a couple years ago where Damon said that they were Anti Paradox, but Pro Space-time Continuum Bending.

Anyway, cocoadoll glad you liked the movie. It was actually a lot better than I had anticipated.

No, I did see that movie. I love it and I'm not a "traditionalist" as the woman says when talking about branching and merging streams. My point was maybe a little sarcastic becuase it naturally has a curvature as I understand so it already bent. I guess my darn link didn't connect. It was a snarky remark about something Damon said in the clip.

What I get out of it is if you imagine space-time as being flat like a piece of paper, and if you have the capability of folding it, (this requires an extreme amount of energy) then you are able to bring two points in time closer together. In order to travel between these points a wormhole is created that acts like a tunnel between these specific points. Basically, you opening a window, or a rift in the space-time continuum... Therefore, you are not traveling the full distance that it would take to go from point A to point B, but bringing point B closer to point A via a wormhole.

Did you see the movie Deja Vu? If not, I recommend it. It's based on this idea... Also in the movie, not only are you able to travel to the past, you are able to "observe" the past... There is more to it, but at the risk of spoiling the movie for you or anyone else, that's all I will say about it.

How could this all relate to LOST? Well, if you have time may I suggest that you do some reading on the Einstein-Rosen bridge and the physicist John Wheeler in particular. These names are also mentioned in the movie above. Interesting to note that not only did Wheeler coin the term wormhole, he was also involved in the Manhattan Project, where he worked on the first American Hydrogen bombs. Also, for addition ideas please read Wheeler's theories on the Participatory Universe.

Hopefully this will help you out a little bit...
