So Radzinsky basically has a huge stake in the final season because his actions will determine what happens to jack hurley kate sayid and sawyer. He seems to have a lot to do in one season

well, it’s safe to say that there was a 4th incident… it was the plane crash.. michaels communication w/ the others through the computer led 2 contact, and in the end the turning of the donkey wheel..

again about the missing clip; I find it oddly similar to the Losties detonating Jughead to prevent the Incident, which may have caused the Incident..Radzinsky removes the clip to prevent outside contact, which may have resulted in outside contact..

Radzinsky. If I remember, he’s a bit anal w/”little guy syndrome’. Photographic memory. VERY interested in having Swan built, perhaps designed it himself. Possible computer designer, certain head researcher to button presser?

Then he cuts out the part about not communicating outside world and kills himself (after making that hatch door drawing)?

Yeah, there’s def. something more to that guy.

I think the missing film clip is definitely significant, but I’m puzzled as to why somebody would clip it..mainly because, if there are instructions to NOT use the computer to contact the outside world, doesn’t that kind-of tempt you to do it?! so in a way it has the opposite effect if you don’t have that in the film..Although, if there is an obvious piece missing in the film, then you find that missing piece of film, and that missing piece says “don’t use the computer to make contact”, that would make such an overwhelming temptation to use the computer to make contact!!

Hi henrygale108, there were other incidents according to the blast door map.

Some were referred to as AH/MDG Incidents, but have no idea what the actually were.

I think BanLinus is correct about the missing part of the Orientation film and it being significant.

I have also read that there was a specific reason why these films had missing sections. I am uncertain if we will be provided with answers. I hope so.

I think the part Radzinsky cut out must have some significance. Did the writers really introduce this with the idea of it being an unanswered mystery.

I thought the not using the computer for other stuff was partly to keep the guys in the swan isolated , they didn’t know they were being watched. But also if the computer broke cos you were using it for other stuff, you couldn’t push the button, big magnet… You know the rest. Maybe Radzinsky lost the plot and wanted the end of the world.
I think they dealt with Jughead by covering it in concrete, (which may have contained the electromagnetism) built the swan, after a able the energy started leaking so they developed protocols to deal with it, the computer being the last and most successful.

The section of the swan orientation film that Radzinsky edited out had “Marvin Candle” explaining that the computer was never be used to communicate with the outside world and that if it was it could lead to another incident.

Why would Radzinsky want that particular part edited out? If we believe Kelvin, that Radzinsky was his button pushing partner, and that he went a little nuts….Maybe Radzinsky wanted somebody to use the computer to communicate with the outside world – therefore creating another “incident” that Candle warned about?

What do you guys think this incident is? Why would Radzinsky potentially want another one to happen?

Did he not know that Dharma was purged in 1992? Why did he think that anyone would ever see his edited version of the orientation film?
