Actually, Lost is very infamous for keeping their secrets to help avoid a lot of us, the audience, from being spoiled, also a lot of semantics and covert operations between the promotional team and writers, abc gives them a lot of control because it is such a huge show. Especially, since this is the last season, they want to keep us guessing (and ratings super high).
