Sorry as always if sum1 has alredy mentioned this but I just had a thought….when Richard visits Locke as a little boy he pulls out a bunch of objects and asks him to pick which ones belong to him….the knife he picks which gets Alpert all in a fluster…..is that the same one that stabbed Jacob???? Maybe Locke was picked by Smokey along time ago and that is the real reason Jacob visited him when he got pusht out the window….he was sorry Smokey had him. Maybe? Please give me ur input but please back up with reasons either for or against as a simple no isn’t any help….if u dont think its right then please give ur reasons and i’ll see if I can change it to fit :) thanks

I dont think it is & I dont know how to put pictures up with this sorry but im sure you can see on lostpedia. Just on memory the knife used to stab Jacob was a little newer looking but If Richard knew John was already Smokies “Player” so to speak then why would he allow John to live on the island if he knew smokie had him?

Richard & all the other’s seem to think John was special, that he will be THEIR leader so they may not have known that he was Smokies already but I think you could be onto something though with Smokie always having John in his back pocket. Locke was surely examined by Smokie in the first season so he probably always had this planned.

Ohhh & you need a title to your post.

the knife could have been smokeys to begin with making it newer now….but just like the compass it travels thru time and gets worn down….clutchin at straws lol.

Richard was told by a time travelin Locke that he was their leader….they kept Locke because they knew they would need him to bring everyone back….but because he was Smokeys they told him he would have to die therefor not being any use to Smokey, or so they thought. That I think is what smokey was counting on….his loophole…..also clutchin at straws again lol.

Thanks I thought i’d get more attention with just their 3 names in it as people want to know abwt them 3 more then anything lol.

also im sorry it was smokey that told richard to say to Locke that he must die….I think they knew about Locke being Smokeys but were just trying to play him. Oh and another thing I think its Smokey that controls the flashes as it suddenly just jumps to the point he needs it to tell Richard to pass on the message????

good point…i think Locke has always been smokeys….if not smokey himself inside a human form. Locke shouldn’t have lived at birth remember but he did….i think this may be down to smokey. maybe smokeys characters are possessed with only apart of smokey so they are forced to make certain decisions….whereas with Jacob its through choice.
