Sorry if this has been asked, i havent had time to read the comments.

But i have absolutely no idea what Christian is.. This is one thing i hope gets explained soon

@ Jukin Yes, I remember exactly what you are talking about, but there was some debate whether or not the bunnies were time traveling...

@ ekolocation A place in the temple is also an excellent theory.

I'm just saying that Christian can very much be alive..

"Or maybe there is a dharma station where a person can send their likeness somewhere else. How awesome would that be.."

sinister that's very similar to what they showed us with the #15 rabbit in that video in season 4. I completely forgot about that since they blew up that compartment to expose the opening to the wheel that moves the island.

I'm sorry, but even an 'experienced' doctor would be quite unraveled, upset, and thrown when looking at the corpse of a parent. I just rewatched white rabbit, and I don't believe Jack touched the corpse... So I believe it DOES NOT prove Christian was dead.

The show has ALREADY shown us someone is powerful enough 2 fake an ENTIRE plane crash, hence it would be quite easy 2 fake the death of 1 individual.

Christian's appearance on the freighter is still the only thing that is skeptic 2 me in regards 2 this theory. Unless, of course he is on a different spiritual level then other human beings...

A few things come to mind while reading the comments here. The first is that Christian is certainly dead (at least he is in Australia). Jack was an experienced Doctor who was looking at the body of his own Father. He presumably sees dead bodies regularly so I find it hard to believe that he would be fooled by someone faking their death. (Even if it was another Doctor who was trying to fake it).

Second, I keep seeing references on this site and others about MIB 'using' Locke's body. There's nothing that we've actually seen or been told to suggest that Locke's body was anything other than an excuse for MIB to portray Locke. MIB only needed for Ben to see what he thought was Locke 'brought back to life'. Once he bought into MIB actually being Locke the stage was set and Locke's actual body was a liability. He never actually possessed Locke's body or had any actual need for it.

I really like the idea that Christian may be an entity like Jacob and MIB. It would certainly fit into the biblical themes running through the show. The book of Revelations 12:7-10 talks about a war where Satan and his angels fight against Michael and his angels.

I'm kicking around a theory about Christian being an entity like Jacob who's purpose is to bring about the "savior" of the island - Arron. Jack was the intended one, (hence 'He walks among us but isn't one of us') but Jack lacks faith which puts him at odds with Christian. Claire gives birth to Arron who takes Jack's intended place as the island's hero. This would also explain Jack's inherent desire to "fix" things and his frustration at not being able to do that.

This brings us the cabin and Christian's appearance to Locke.

MIB assumes the form of Christian (who is known to Claire and thereby has some credibility.) As her Father Claire accepts what he tells her and he uses her to displace the ash that surrounds Jacobs cabin. Once an opening is made MIB is free to enter the cabin which forces Jacob to flee.

When Locke returns to the cabin hoping to speak with Jacob he meets Christian (MIB) and Claire. Locke doesn't know Christian but certainly knows Claire. She provides some credibility to Christian who claims to speak on behalf of Jacob. He tells Locke to move the island setting in motion the events leading to his death. When Ben moves the island instead of Locke it forces MIB to find another means to remove Locke. He appears to Michael on the freighter and allows it be destroyed and then appears again to Locke in the cavern telling him again to turn the wheel which sends Locke on the path that leads to his death and eventual return with Ben and the opportunity to kill Jacob.

Totally agree with this theory, and to add on to it, maybe the reason that his coffin was not on the plane in the alternate storyline (like if the bomb didn't really work, and it was just another time flash)is because he knew the plane was not going to crash, hence not his way to get back to the island...

They could write a meeting however they wanted. The mssing body and knives are playing a few roles. To show that they timelines are coming together in bits, to bring Jack and Locke together and I think a possible double up on the island will have some bearing later on. A missing body is a pretty weird thing to have happen if for no other reason than to get Jack and Locke together

I was going to dismiss your comment about Christian "flashing" to the original timeline, Tas, but when you mentioned Locke's knives, it seems to make some sense. Without the latter example, I see no reason to suspect that Christian's corpse should have moved anywhere at all, since he was there to begin with, but with it, it seems to suggest that certain things may be "bleeding" across the continua. Nice catch.
