MIB and Jacob the Eternal Chess Game

My theory is that MIB and Jacob are stuck in a time loop caused by the islands strange magnetic fields and are doomed to see eternity played out over and over again. Both men have a different theory on how to escape the eternal loop:

MIB believes the answer is scientific and wants to try and destroy the island possible via the temple which would destroy the magnetic fields and the time loop. But Jacob believes that this would be the end of everything.

Jacob believes the answer to there problem is within man kind a more faith based solution.

So now as they revolve around time the world becomes a chess board for MIB and Jacob. As both men have seen the course of time played out so many times before they start to use humans as chess pieces to prove there point one way or another to break the loop.

I believe the alternate universes will be used to show us the result of of both men wining the game.

I got the idea the way that MIB and Jacob know so much about all are Losties. MIB is able to tell Richard when Locke would appear in the jungle when skipping through time and what his last thoughts where before dying. Jacob has been able to show up at pivotal points in all of there lives to direct them. This would point to the fact that they have seen this all played out many times before.

I think Jacobs lists are people they both have agreed to take out of there game like, children and people who do not apply to there rules. I think they may also have been playing this game through Ben and Widmore as a kind of proxy, because the rules are mentioned between these two characters too.

This last point is a bit of a shot in the dark but could it be possible that MIB and Jacob are the dead bodies in the caves with the black and white stones. Since we know that MIB can take on any form (Like maybe Ben’s mum) is it not so unbelievable that MIB could of actually been female originally. Just an extra thought
