What Jack Remembers

Written 9th March

I am trying to wrap my mind around this alternate timeline and figure out some sort of pattern. Here is what i have come up with so far:

Jack doesn’t remember:
-David playing piano
-Getting his appendix removed
-Anyone from The Island

Jack does remember:
-Where his son’s school is
-Where the hide-a-key is at his ex-wife’s house (under a stone white rabbit, coincidence?)
-His childhood

I am unable to come up with a formula, ie.. he doesn’t remember things that happened to him on The Island. I am sure there are things I am forgetting also. Please lend any insight/ideas you have.

  1. Also, he doesn’t seem to remember why he has a wound on his neck on the Oceanic flight.

He recognizes Desmond but doesn’t remember why.

  2. – Jack does remember things like what David’s favorite book was back in the day (Alice In Wonderland/Through The Looking Glass)

    – Somewhere on the forum (or maybe it was Lostpedia, these are the 2 things I stick to when doing LOST reading) it was mentioned that Jack didn’t seem to remember that David was a Dodgers fan and not a RedSox fan. Something about Dodgers showing up in his room, but Jack suggests to David he can watch the RedSox on TV. (Sidenote: Am I the only person who noticed that David reacts like WTF to the suggestion he watch the RedSox, though at the time I kind of just thought it was part of the brooding teen/dad doesn’t live with me anymore thing).

    – Jack forgets he’s an alcoholic? Kidding.
