There is always one and this time I&#039;m afraid its me!   I love The Magus, its one of my favourite books, I lived on a Greek island years ago so its close to my heart and its also an amazing story that has stayed with me for life.  I mentioned it in some post a while back, I&#039;m sure but I absolutely see the parallels and was surprised that the book wasn&#039;t featured in Sawyer&#039;s reading list to be honest!  Highly recommended to anyone that hasn&#039;t read it yet.  I&#039;m currently reading The Stand which everyone on here is talking about - its even longer than The Magus but I&#039;m pretty addicted already.   Was so pleased to see someone else saw The Magus happening here...</description>
