Wow this was really some read.

I dont know if i agree with everything but that aside you have done well to back yourself up on your points.

Some of your ideas a pretty far out there, but i think that is what makes this theory so good. You werent afraid to really dive in and find a story.

So once again, great post!

The best theorie i have ever read about the whole story. Well done

Only bad point i would say was that Jacob brought 815 to the island so knew that Desmond wouldnt press the button.

Excellent Theory.
My only thoughts are that the lighthouse with the 360 candidates does not fit in with the theory. also jacob knew that all our losties would be on it so he brought it to the island and knew desmond would not push the button. so why would he have to hurry whe it crashed???

Very good, i take it you where inspired by the bible story of Jacob and Esau. There may be some type of yin/yang thing going on and that is the reason why they cannot kill each other. Yin cannot exist without yang.

There is a ton of evidence that the MIB was trying to get John Locke away from the hatch and button (Ekos stick, odd dreams, visions, ect.). The quicker MIB could get locke to the others, the quicker he would have met Ben, then the FDW, and so on... until the MIB could finally take over Lockes body and complete his loophole.

I also think that MIB started his loophole when a time traveling Locke prophesied his own coming in the 50's.

My big questions for you are:
Who was in charge of the others during the Purge? MIB or Jacob
if MIB, How did he trick the others to follow him?
When did they start following him?
Where is Jacob at the time?
If Jacob, Why would he kill all of those people if he is "Good"?
Did he bring DHARMA to the island?

Why wouldn't Jacob let Richard know to watch out for MIB and Flocke before Ben killed him? Wouldnt Jacob know about a time traveling Locke? Why would Jacob have Locke kill his own father?
I know you will say Jacob and the greater good and all but alot of the moves the others have made have been suspect all in the name of Jacob.

I tend to think Christian is on the side of MIB but still not positive that Christian IS the MIB. 1. Llana said Flocke couldn't take any other form(other than smokie) but we see Christian tell Sun and Lapidis to wait for Flocke. 2.Christian appeared to michael on the freighter before it exploded, isn't the Freighter off the island and at very least outside of the magnetic bubble?

all in all, a very good read. 5 stars

Great thoughts! Here are some things i thought of while reading this...

Why couldn't Flocke kill Jacob? I think you said he wasn't "allowed", but what does that mean? Is it just against "the rules" or can he physically not kill him?

"When Oceanic 815 crashed, Jacob knew his time was short."-Didn't Jacob bring the plane to the island? He's been following the Oceanic 6 from their childhood. But it also seems like Desmond failing to press the button caused the plane to crash.

Jacob continued to bring people to thet island because he believed Flocke could not corrupt any of them into killing him. So it's kind of like a game to Jacob, gambling his own life.

Why is Flocke evil? He simply believes that humans are sinful by nature. Does that make him bad? Maybe the smoke is the human MIB's soul, captured on the island. The smoke monster needs to be in a body to leave the island, and he needs to leave the island so his soul can move on (to heaven or wherever).

Other thoughts not really relating to your theory but something i'm thinking about:

Why does Jacob have the power to keep Flocke on the island when he is alive? In the last episode Jacob said that the island is the cork and hell is the wine, but maybe Jacob is more the cork and Flocke is the wine, he can't get out until Jacob is out of the way. The significance of MIB smashing the bottle is releasing darkness into the world, but without removing the cork...?

This also could explain why Widmore is coming to the island with scientists - so he can reconstruct that electromagnetic shield that dissipated when Desmond turned the failsafe. Then he will have control over the smoke monster and the island. This is what he is trying to accomplish.

This is most likely what he was trying to do with the Kahana scientists as well.

Mixen Dixon, firstly I would like to say that this is one of the best theories I have read! You have an uncanny ability to tell a story.

I really like how you have expressed your thoughts, ideas and theory. You have done so in an articulate and simplistic manner and provided us with a thoroughly enjoyable read!

I believe much of what you have expressed to be true, and feel that what you have speculated upon for the future sounds very intriguing.

Congrats! This definitely has a 'wow' factor.
