Bobby Ewing died at one point. Then, ages later, his wife Pamela woke up and found Bobby alive in the shower. Apparently Pamela had dreamt up a couple of seasons of the show, including scenes with people she didn't even know. Though I would enjoy Sawyer being reunited with his unexpected love, I usually abhor any show that refuses to kill major characters. (Think: Heroes) At some point you don't feel the suspense because you know no one can truly die! If they bring back Juliet to the regular timeline, I'll feel it was a cop out.
