Someone is from the future
There has to be someone from the future with Jacob and MIB knowing everything that is going to happen next… The building of the runway and all… My question is who could it be?
And I don’t want to hear all the ” well they are in a loop and it’s happened over and over again”… I believe a higher power is there and he is from the future.. Or she

There is a lot of talk of different people, jacob, MIB, Alpert, my guess is Widmore if anyone…he played the market, built franchises, and an off island empire…possibly had a hand in the Dharma Initiatives beginning, or possible upcoming reinstatement….
But all in all…the best thing for me would learn that the only thing that is really from the future…is the island…and as long as you are on it, the ‘future’ is your present…
I realize how insane that sounds…

Maybe Richard is from the future, but goes back in time and comes to the island on the black rock. Well we will find out tonight if I’m right, although he just may be from the black rock

We could assume Christian has jumped around a lot through time. He seems to take the title of “wheel master” to a degree. He at least told Locke how to move the island.
I do agree that someone is from the future though. I always believed that the island, Jacob and MIB are all from the future. I still wouldn’t doubt it.

Pretty much carrying on from what A.E.S said, past and present and future all merge into one when timetravelling is concerned. It depends on the person on question and their personal reference point.
Because various characters have been in different times, it will be hard to distinguish who is actually from the future where the future can be classed as 2007 onwards.

henrygale108, both Jacob and Nemesis have displayed abilities to see into the future.
Nemesis planned his loophole long ago to take over John Locke and have Ben kill Jacob and Jacob pre-empted Nemesis’ plans by bringing somebody else to ‘the island’.
The runway was built by ‘the others’ who presumably were taking their orders from Richard via Jacob.
Both Jacob and Nemesis possess abilities of foresight.

maybe this is all one big vision by desmond and he is the higher power that is helping jacob and mib get everyone where they need to be…ha!

I do think it is a foresight issue. And I think Elloise Hawking had the same ability, and it may have been the reason she was chosen to be the leader of the Others. She knew what Desmond was supposed to do and that him not doing it would lead him not to be on the island etc etc. Also outside the hospital when Desmond was shot she says to Widmore……for once, I cant see what is going to happen next. (paraphrase)

I still think that the island is “lost” in time. In the sense that it is outside the fabrics of time. Thus can access any time period at any moment for those who know how to use it.
By the way they are yet to explain the whole wheel stuff and who made it.
This series is not even finished and it already deserves a sequel just to explain the minor details that they won’t have time to tap into in these remaining 7 or 8 episodes.
