Did Smoke Monster take Walts form?

Evil Locke/MIB told Jack he can only take the form of someone after they have died,

so at the end of series 3, why is it Walt appears to Locke and tells him to get out of the Dharma grave? Who was this? cos we know Walt hasn’t died.

and if MIB admits he took the form of Jacks dad, how did Jacks dad appear before Michael on the frieghter, just before the bomb went off. cos we the smoke monster can’t cross water.

Also just while I’m on the subject, does anyonw else reckon that if the actor who played Mr Eko not famously ask to leave the show early, was smokey going to manipulate him into trying to kill Jacob? it seemed to be heading that way.

    Maybe that’s why Walt is special… MIB can take his form despite him not being dead.

    Maybe Walt IS dead …

    Even had that whisper thing going.

    That Hurley saw him off-island isn’t all that impt. (Maybe g-ma Walt dead, too.)

    Locke? Maybe Walt was ‘appearing’ somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be.

    (of course, then he wouldn’t be special by being the only black character they left alive.)

    The actor who played Eko wanted to leave because Hawaii was too far from home, so they had to write him out the show early.

    I think I read somewhere this caused a bit of bother with the writers cos they had a story arc all figured out for the character that would keep for a couple series.

    walt wasalso special because he could attract birds in particuler to him, (see youtube for extra clips not in show) but birds relly on electromagnatism (would you belive it a coincedence on lost haha) so maybe as desmond can a lot of electromagnetism walt can actually produce it
