Questions about parents of our Losties.

I was thinking more about the parenting issues we have seen and then something struck me as awkward.

We have seen nearly every main character on the show as a child, and their parents. I rough list I threw together includes, Kate, Sayid, Charlie, Jack, Sawyer, John Locke, Ben, Hurley, Charlotte, Miles, Eko. However we have never seen Desmond as a kid, or his parents. Why is this characters past a complete mystery?

Any thoughts?

This is a really good point! And it hit me like a ton of bricks…maybe he’s Eloise’s son (from a daliance of her own). She certainly talks to him like a mother would, trying to correct his behavior and telling him what he can and can’t do, what he should and shouldn’t do. (Kind of how she treats Daniel, trying to control the outcome.) So Penny is Widmore’s daughter; and Des could be Eloise’s son. Not blood relatives, but steps. Weird, but heck. AND here’s the other thing: Penny is Desmond’s constant; and Des is Daniel’s constant.
I’m just saying…

And we’ve seen Juliet and Faraday as well as children. But not Jin, right?

And Sun as a child. I don’t think we have seen Jin as a child, but we have seen both his mother and father in “D.O.C”.
