That being said, Kelvin and Radzinsky were not special in the way that Desmond was, because pushing the button isn't why Desmond is special. Turning the fail-safe key can make one special in this sense, and only one person has done that; Desmond. Not to split hairs or anything of the sort, but I really think Desmond is special not because he spent 3 years pushing the button but because he turned the fail-safe key and was at ground zero when the discharge occurred.
