Alternate Season Six “Another Life”
Hey Everybody,
As some of you already know, I’ve been writing an alternate to season six on the alternatelostendings site. I figured it would be a good idea to index the hyperlinks to each of the chapters with a brief explanation. For all of you who have read so far, I appreciate your comments and hope you enjoy it to the very end!
Another Life Part01
A psychiatric patient is transferred to Dr. Jack Shephard’s care, and claims to know Jack in Another Life. The patient’s name is Theresa Spencer.
Another Life Part02
Jack finds a tumor along a vertebra in Theresa Spencer’s neck.
Another Life Part03
Daniel Widmore has an awakening of memories to Another Life and has a conversation with his mother Eloise Widmore.
Another Life Part04
In the Original Timeline, Charles Widmore tries to persuade Daniel Faraday and his research assistant Theresa Spencer to choose from 3 Neurosurgeons, all named “Jack,” to assist with their research.
Another Life Part05
In the Original Timeline, Daniel Faraday and Theresa Spencer move from Oxford to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to further their research financed by Charles Widmore and shared by other Dharma Initiative scientists at the University of Michigan. In the Alternate Reality, Jack explains to Theresa that she has a tumor on her spine, and that, in all likelihood, it is causing her delusions.
Another Life Part06
In the Alternate Reality: After experiencing another “episode”, Theresa Spencer reveals to Jack that he has a sister and that he must leave soon to Australia to find her.
Another Life Part07
In the Alternate Reality, Jack preps for Theresa Spencer’s surgery.
In the Original Timeline, Jack wakes up on the island, being cared for in a patient room at the Hydra.
Another Life Part08 Jack is fully prepped for Theresa Spencer’s surgery, but discovers she’s been kidnapped from the hospital.
Another Life Part09
At the University of Michigan, Daniel Faraday and Theresa Spencer give a demonstration of their research to Charles Widmore involving “time-traveling, puzzle-solving” rats. Charles is impressed and insists they move forward with Phase2 of their research, which involves human test subjects. Theresa Spencer volunteers as a test subject.
Another Life Part10
Eloise Widmore brings her son Daniel Widmore to the University of Michigan where they discover Theresa Spencer being cared for in critical condition. Jack also arrives there to find his kidnapped patient and to have his first confrontation with Charles Widmore.
Another Life Part11
Meet Dr. Christian Shephard and his past connection with the Dharma Initiative.
Another Life Part12
Original Timeline: An accident in the University of Michigan laboratory leaves Theresa Spencer and Daniel Faraday in critical condition in the hospital. And on the island, MIB discusses his plan with Claire as John Locke makes his way to the cabin.
Alternate Timeline: Jack meets with Charles Widmore, Daniel Widmore, and Charlotte Lewis at the University of Michigan. Charles explains to Jack that he once knew Jack’s father, Christian Shephard, and that Christian requested the Dharma Initiative to never make contact with Jack.
Another Life Part13
Jack discusses “mission plans” with Daniel Widmore and Charlotte Lewis. Jack experiences another flash and wakes up again on the Island as a patient in the Hydra station.
Anutha Lafe, Brutha Part14
In the Alternate Reality, Charles Widmore and the Dharma Initiative send Desmond Hume on a mission to find the Island.
Another Life Part15
Jack awakens on the Island in the Hydra Station and reunites with fellow Losties including Claire and a resurrected John Locke.
Another Life Part815
In the Alternate Reality, Jack meets his half sister Claire Littleton in Australia, and discovers she will be flying to Los Angeles on the same flight Jack was flying back on.
Another Life Part17
Oceanic 815 is airborne with only 9 select passengers. Jack attempts to calm them down and explain what is happening.
Another Life Part18
In the Alternate Reality, the Losties meet and greet on Oceanic 815, but soon faint after experiencing flashbacks. In the Original Timeline on the Island, Jack assembles the Losties and tries to figure out a plan.
Another Life Part19
Sayid persuades the group that communicating off the island should take priority. Meanwhile, Claire is convinced John Locke is not the person she was hoping he would be.
Another Life Part20
In the Alternate Reality, Jack attempts to save Oceanic 815 from crashing. In the Original Timeline, Jack and Sayid successfully make contact off the island.
Another Life Part21
Theresa Spencer and the purpose of the numbers.
Another Life Part22
Original Timeline: The death of Theresa Spencer. Lafluer gets ready to round up Radzinsky.
Alternate Timeline: Sun speaks to Charles Widmore, Daniel Widmore, and Charlotte Lewis at the University of Michigan about how to be reunited with her husband.

I finished part 21 last night, I’ve got to make a couple more edits, and I’ve got a french-speaking friend helping me translate some french conversation…Danielle Rouseau and the French research team will be introduced in part 21..

I haven’t heard anything from Emzi..
I hate to write her an email because it’s really been just me submitting stories to the site lately. I’ll write her an email tonight if I don’t see it post…
I’m almost done with Part23 too, I’ll probably submit that tonight…
So you’ll probably have 3 episodes in a row that you can read!
I’ll also update this page as soon as I see them posted..

There are 3 coming anytime now..
I submitted parts 23+24 on the weekend..
And I finished and submitted part 25 last night! I think Emzi posts them only once or twice a week, whenever she’s got time to check and read thru them…
I can assure you, there won’t be another break like I took between 20+21..Should be at least 2 a week..
I honestly don’t know how long the entire story will take to write; I already know the ending, and I know all the highlights along the way to the end, but originally I thought I could write it in less than 20. It might be over 40 by the time I’m finished..I’m really enjoying creating it, and I’m glad you’re enjoying it too.

Ya I know 28 was a little mushy, the reunion of Jack seeing Theresa..I personally loved writing it..
27 was so difficult to write, I actually redid it several times, it came out alright..
I’m just glad you’re keeping up with it..

Hope you’re willing to keep reading..
The current stage of the story (Shepherd, MIB, Locke moving Heart of Island) should be finished sometime soon, not more than 5 more chapters… Then I have plans to write a final stage of the story, that’ll probably be around 10 I hope…who knows! It’s really hard to gauge this, at first I thought I’d only write 20chapters, obviously I was way off!! Thanks for all your comments so far..

Sorry it’s getting confusing, kind of difficult to write these things with total clarity..
When Locke crossed back over the ash, to go find the Heart of the Island, he traveled back in time to before Jughead blew to the point when everybody was brought back to the Island(the Aijira flash..). That means there are two different realms of time on the Island; the time outside the ash, and the time inside..
Which means there are sets of two of everybody; Jack inside the ash+outside the ash, Hurley inside the ash+outside the ash, Jin inside the ash+outside the ash etc…
When Jack said “Because my father told me it would” as he was going down the well, what happened for him to have that memory is because past events have changed, and now he has that memory. I know that concept might be a little confusing… I touched on it back in Chapter 32 when Jack asked why he didn’t remember Locke coming back alive:
“Jack: (shaking his head, confused) How come I don’t remember right now Locke being there? When I came back to the Island?
Shepherd: If he is successful, you will remember differently. He is our only hope to change what has happened.”
And finally, to clarify things about Shepherd, MIB, and Ghost Christian…
1. Shepherd is actually Shepherd, not Christian or MIB
2. MIB was MIB, he is human. He was shot by Claire and died.
3. Ghost Christian is actually Christian
