I was just curious to see if anyone has seen, heard or read anything from Damon and Carlton since the finale.
I knew they were going into silence for a while, but they seemed to completely go off the radar. I don’t use twitter, does anyone know if they said anything interesting there? Maybe they’ve mysteriously disappeared like Osama Bin Laden.

Following my theory titled : MIB was not the first Smokey…
In that theory I suggested that the story has happened over and over which is why we have been given Egyptian references to demonstrate that the story has been going for many many thousands of years.
It just came to me, the quote Jacob made – It always ends the same!
Was another clue from the writers.
Which I believe was a clue to answering why there were skeletons at the source! It always leads to someone having to replace the cork and save the world – thus each period in history, the story it always ends the same!

Hey Everyone,

This is just a general question about whether or not I should create a site for another show now that Lost is over. Would anyone be interested if I did? What show would you like it to be about?

I know a few people mentioned that if I did a site for Fringe they’d be interested, and I love Fringe so I’d have no problem doing that, but I just wanted to get an idea of who might be interested etc.

Suggest any show… I may create a site that is a combination of shows. I just want to get an idea before I go ahead and do something 🙂

Also, Alternate Lost Endings has a few posts up now so be sure to check them out if you like Lost Fan Fiction.

I was wondering if anyone could help in locating a previously written post. After the season 5 finale i distinctly remember reading a post wherein the writer devised their complete storyline for season 6 with episode titles aswell. I’d very much like to re-read this in light of what was, for me, a dissapointing finale. if anyone remembers this or if the writer can remember posting it, any help in finding it would be much appreciated!
Cheers

Does anybody know if there was something special about Vincent, or if he was significant?

I have watched the first episode after the finale, and noticed that when Jack is lying in the bamboo forest after the crash, Vincent finds him but soon runs off.
In the finale, before Jack dies, Vincent finds him and stays with him until he dies.

I was wondering if this was a direct relation to episode one and if it meant something. Last time Vincent ran off, and Jack was not about to die. But in the finale, when Jack was about to die Vincent didn’t run off.

Was there anything in Lost that showed Vincent was special or anything?

From the very first season we are introduced to “special” people. The other’s kidnap Walt because they believe that he is special. John Locke believes that he himself is special. Jacob’s “mother” tells him that he is special. So what exactly does it mean to be “special”.

I believe that being “special” means that you are a likely candidate to be Jacob’s successor. People that are on Jacob’s list are considered special for this reason. Perhaps, special people also have some sort of supernatural powers. We are told (in S2 or 3) that “Jack wasn’t even on Jacob’s list”. I believe that Jacob never wanted Jack to be his successor. He just wanted Jack to believe that he was special so that he would replace the cork in the Source (therefore saving the world) and then pass on protectorship to Hurley (who truly is special).

But I would love to hear your ideas!… What exactly made Walt so “special”? Was Locke actually special, or was he just conned into thinking he was special by the Man in Black? Who else was special? Were all the candidate’s special?

So….I took some advice from Kimberly and began watching “Lost Talk Live, New York Times”…something to that nature…wow…it was actually as entertaining as the show sometimes…maybe even more than “What Kate Does”.

“Darlton” talks at length about Lost more than I have ever seen them before. I only got about halfway through, but several things are given away three days before the show…

Spoiler alert: Emerson and Garcia made an appearance before I turned it off at the end of work…unless youre my boss, then I turned it off when I got to work…

Regardless, both were asked about their favorite Lost characters, and they chose each others…which was odd seeing after the finale, considering this was three days before.

Then Emerson goes on to say that he enjoyed working with Jorge more “recently”, and something to the line of them having something important to do together before the end of Lost…
I was listening, because if I watch, I cannot pretend to be working, but I imagine he got a not so nice look from “Darlton”.

There was many things said about answers.
They made it a point to say that sometimes it is the easy answer, and even when they give the answer on the show, or even when asked flat out, people still believe there is more to it, and in not so many words, cause the idea to be blown out of proportion.

They also said that Aaron was never special, and it was said that the psychic that told Claire she had to go on the plane was indeed a fraud, which he told us, and Mr Eko later in the story.
They said Kates plane was explained in her back-story/flashback, and that is the end of the planes story…thats it.

They said Widmore was lying about Jacob visiting him!

Then they said something that made the most excited I have been since Lost ended…

“We will see Walt again before the series (Lost) is all said and done…”

This was three days before the finale…it was in stone…they were done…so one more time, for old times sake…

WHERE THE HELL IS WALT…!?!?

Hello DVD special features…hopefully…

Here is what I think happened to Walt…

Option 1…
Sometime after Locke visited him, Walt dies…and I think that in his death, he will either go to the island…as we saw him in scenes with Shannon, Sayid, and John…

or he goes to the FSW/afterlife…and dies there, leading him again to the scenarios listed above…

Option 2…
Walt returns to the island somehow, at some point, with the other kids…

He and the children become meet with Hurley and Ben, and Desmond, and somehow create the FSW for the Losties to meet up in.
The island movesback through time, and Hurley records the numbers.
Walt ends up being the one who traps MIB in the cabin.
Charlie ends up playing a”flashing” and “electro-magnetic” role like his Scottish daddy.
And Aaron and JiYeon end up being the last two left, now with the ability to procreate.

Through the works of the islands time travel, Walt grows up to be Matthew Abaddon, and we have seen that the last thing he does in his life is try and help John.

This is all sort of messy, and in all honesty they could be messing with us completely…but damn it felt good to have the opportunity to write another real “Theory On Lost”…

In looking up a link for the NY event (just go to YouTube)…I found that Dark UFO has a post about this topic as well…with a “Spoiler” title…screw em…not changing mine now…
They say something about Des telling Jack “Lift it up” in season two when he departs in the stadium…and that “you would not be disappointed” by the message…

Thats pretty convenient because I watched the first disc of season 2 last night and caught the same thing…
I really think it is LIGHTLY referencing the cork, and what Jack had to do when he got down to the light…this really asks the question of when/who that particular version of Desmond Hume is when he visited Jack that night…just when you thought it was over…

If anyone (Kim?) has seen the whole thing, and can add info, please do…I probably wont get to watch again until Monday, and am curious what else was talked about…

Also, Kimberly…I asked you this somewhere else, and cannot remember where, but what was the big give away that you talked about right before the show…there were several that I could see being spoilerish…

Thanks again everyone…Am looking forward to seeing people on Emzis new site…

I really think it will be fun because its not as much arguing and debating as it is creativeness…

Thanks and if you know anything else…spill the beans here…if people are dumb enough to get ‘spoiled’ after my title, its not really my fault.

Also let me know what you think about my two options, and lets here some others!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLT!!!!!!

Quick one….just came to me……
Like Faradays experiment with the delay in the missile thing landing and the dead body from the freighter washing up before he died…. Were these clues to the food drop mystery????
Maybe this time delay/time travel type issue with things coming to the island is causing delays in food drops…maybe the drops were made in the 70’s landing now. But that would mean the Dharma’s wouldve been real hungry and died before the purge! Lol
So my theory is this…………..
The food drop is the same drop each time, it’s stuck in the same tine delay loop!
So the jar of peanut butter they eat is the exact bar they have already eaten!!!
This I think is the coolest LOST type of explanation of the food drops!
What do u think???

MIB was not the first Smokey;
‘mother’ knew that on entering the light it would be worst than death I.e the punishment of your soul being trapped as smoke, bodyless, and eternal hell.
‘mother’ clearly was the protector for many hundreds if not thousands of years. And would have witnessed lots on the island.
The Egyptians demonstrated in their hieroglyphs in the temple of a smokey with the Egyptian god. This clearly pre dates MIB and Jacob.
I believe the story has looped over and over again throughout history, each time the protector looking to hand over the island when they couldn’t do it any longer.
I believe the purpose of the show, showing us the Egyptian references was to highlight the age, or like some kind of prop to demonstrate that the story has been going since ancient times. So there was no need to explain or show us the Egyptian story.
I also believe (which I think back up my multiple smokey theory) that once the egyptians defeated the smokey they built the statue to worn others from landing on the island and then left themselves never to return! If you look up the statue of taweret one of it’s meaning is the warning of evil or the devil or something like that. In Richards flash back episode one of the slaves saw the statue and said something like, an island protected by the devil!
So many ‘mysteries’ are for us to asssume and work out ourselves.

Hey Everyone,

I have been working on a website lately for people to read and write their own “Alternate Lost Endings”. Basically it’s a Fan Fiction site with a difference, in that it’s mainly for writing your own end to Lost. This could be either the whole of season 6, or just the last ten minutes of The End. You could also write something Post Season 6, like Ben and Hurley’s adventures on the island, or what happened to Kate and Claire when they landed etc.

I know this may not be for everyone, but I thought if the site gets some Fan Fiction on there then you may be interested in reading it.

The site is at www.alternatelostendings.com

PS. Thanks to all who are still participating here, you’re all fab x

In the finale, does anybody know that when Desmond took out the stone thing from the electromagnetism powered hole, did that make Locke/MIB weak, or did it make him human?

I ask this because in the finale, he didn’t change into the Smoke Monster that could have potentially made a better ending, and also would have changed the fight between Jack and Locke/MIB, which made me think he became human and was no-longer the MIB that was the Smoke Monster.

Does anybody know the answer to this?

I know every year LOST fans give writers heart attacks by posting tons of spoilers online, it seems to have gotten curbed quite well on this site…so…what leaked before the show was done?

What did you hear before it all ended that gave things away, or that was false?

I also heard that the finale script got left somewhere and found and ended up online…does anyone know if it was actually the finale script…or if it was a fake?

What was the biggest spoiler that you got spoiled on in the finale…and in Lost in general?

So what was that stupid music box that Christian left to Claire… did anyone come up with a good answer for that?

4 – 8 – 15 – 16 – 23 — 42

We see these numbers everywhere throughout the series, but they are never explained. These numbers are also next to the candidates’ names. What is the possible significance of these particular numbers?

4 – Locke
8 – Reyes
15 – Ford
16 – Jarrah
23 – Shephard
42 – Kwon

As I’m still trying to fully embrace the finale, I have a question..
I would appreciate it if anyone could try to explain, or discuss it in some way..(AES?:)

What about Jack’s nosebleed in the final island-scene? Is there anything special to it, or is it simply an indication that Island-Jack and FSW-Jack are swapping consciousness and memories etc.

And what exactly is the significance of Jack dying in the same spot he woke up on in the Pilot episode? Does it say anything or is it just a simple wink to the Pilot episode?

Thanks!

I’m still not understanding the episode when Richard visited young Locke & presented things to him.  Why did that happen?  What was Richard trying to learn?  Why?  Why/how did Locke have a drawing of the Smoke Monster on the wall?

I don’t think that they ever really explain this. Before he became a smoke monster, he just wanted to leave that damn island, but his Mother wouldn’t let him. She buries his wheel that’s supposed to get him off the island and kills his people, so MIB kills her (she was a crazy b*tch and deserved it!). Then Jacob kills MIB for killing their crazy mother, and MIB turns into a smoke monster when he floats into the cave.

This does not explain at all why he’s considered to be “evil”. Why wouldn’t his fake mom just let him leave the island? And what exactly is supposed to happen to the world if he leaves in his current form as the smoke monster?

It seams to me that Jacob and his fake mother were just insane, and MIB was the sane one who just wanted to get the hell off the damn island as far away from his crazy family as he could get.
And this makes him evil?
