Flying over
First Post…Hail!
rewatching Lost from Season 1 with wife since she has never followed it. Realised that right before Boone crashed with the smugglers’ plane, he finds a map of Africa with a route leading through the Sahara desert (what an early hint!).
Facts:
-The island disappears and reappears in differnet places (and times?)
-The island remains connected to at least one other spot on earth (the Sahara desert) through some sort of wormhole.
-Any mean of transportation getting too close gets sucked in.
Questions:
-Did the smugglers’ plane get sucked in from the Sahara all the way to the location of the island in Season 1?
-The polar bears got there because the island was in a polar region at some point in time, they were brought there or they were sucked in from a polar region to the location of the island in Season 1?
-What happened to the polar bear in the Sahara? it was sent there as a test subject by the Dharma, remained in the area after the island moved from the Sahara desert or did it just stand in the sun too long and got a real nasty sunburn?

i def missed the map with boone. great catch.
hey just a quick note cuz i’m at work but do a google search for “vile vortices” and read all about it. this should open your eyes to a whole new possibility for how the island “travels”
I’m pretty sure the plane just flies to and then crashes on the island. i guess we’ll never know tho.
For the plane I just thought that since the island does change location and what not that maybe it crashed there when the island wasn’t in the South Pacific… Didn’t Hawking say the island is constantly moving or something? Maybe? Maybe not?
