Finally a proper series finale

I’m so happy that we will (knock on wood) get to see a proper ending to a sci fi series. It’s Lost I’m talking about! I hate to be invested in a series and then they cancel it before we get a proper conclusion to all the loose ends. It happened with Star Trek Enterprise, The 4400 and Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do it to Heroes as well.

  1. I thought it was completely ok. I liked that they avoided the dangereously tempting “monster of the week” style and focussed on longer story archs, although they sometimes seemed to have a problem to come up with ideas. And the time travel logic didn’t seem very well thought out at a few instances.

  2. For a proper sci-fi series finale, you should try watching Battlestar Galactica (the new one). It ended a year or so ago, but it had a proper ending and in my opinion was a very good series…

  3. Sarah Connor Chronicles: HORRIBLE? Wow…I’d watch Summer Glau cut her toenails and be enthralled…guess I’m too easy to please.

It’s getting hard to wait as these last days wind down…I almost don’t even care how LOST ends…I just NEED to know gawdammit! The suspense is killing me.

  4. Ahhhh Summer Glau – nice

Best part of Terminator:SCC was the music though – really kept the old Terminator style sounds. I heard it was cancelled to keep Dolls House on but then that was slated too.

Perhaps if they reduced the budget and filmed shorter series (in the UK they tend to be 6-12 episodes) they would stay under the studio’s radar.
