Who woke up after being submerged in the pool?
Great Premeire! Answered one big question, left us with alot of others. I wonder what Miles was thinking when Hurley asked him if he was ok. Maybe he couldn’t get any reading from Sayid’s body? I also wonder if that is even Sayid anymore. Maybe it’s Jacob. The dirty water was essence of Jacob which is now inside of a new body!

Miles looked confused and I thought about what you mentioned…he couldn’t get a reading. That may indicate that Sayid never actually fully died. Maybe something / someone else, possibly Jacob, possessed his body just in time.
I think Miles can read people’s minds regardless if they are alive or dead..So I believe Miles was confused because he got the sense that Sayid was no longer Sayid anymore..
Miles was thinking about the last thing Juliet wanted to tell James.
It Worked
What the hell does that mean???
I have the feeling that the dirty water is already old smoky/ MIB. After all, he is the one who we have seen using people’s bodies. Maybe he got in before they tried to keep him out. Let’s not forget that this is the process that would’ve happened to Ben as a young boy. “(They) Will never be the same again….” So does it mean that Ben and Sayid will play the biggest parts of Lost’s final ending? “It’ll only end once”… “Everything else is just progress”
Well miss_angelus, I will have to disagree with you on the water being old smokey/MIB. it is that way because Jacob died. Besides, MIB s busy carrying away Richard. He wants to have a talk with him afterall.
And also, MIB doesn’t possess bodies. Jacob might, but MIB just takes their form. That is made obvious when MIB passes Locke’s dead body while in the form of Locke.
Kind of reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when the First can take the form of people who have died.
I do believe that it is highly possible that there is some essence of Jacob, whatever that may be, in Sayid’s dead body. Unlike many of the other characters who we have not actually seen die (i.e. Claire and Christian), Sayid’s death played out before our very eyes. I do believe that the Others in the temple had no intention of “saving” Sayid. We were even shown that the water had lost it’s healing nature (the cut on the hand not being healed) due to it’s “dirty” or dare i say “bloody” quality. Therefore Sayid’s “water experience” has to be different than young Ben’s. Not only is Sayid dead, but Jacob’s back…maybe :-/
I’ve been off line but I’m, finally, back. I was thinking that the water may clear up now that Sayid has been submerged in it. I was waiting to see it happen while he was in the pool but that didn’t happen.
Miles could have been thinking about his reading of Juliette. It sure would confuse me!
