Anyone else completely LOST? (Pun very much intended).

Is anyone else completely confused as to what is happening on Lost? I assume that the general answer is “yes” but I thought I’d better ask anyway.

I know that from day 1, mysteries, secrets, red herrings and deception were the order of the day but I thought that when we reached Season 6, some of the questions would begin to get answered but on the whole, they haven’t; if anything more questions have been raised.

To begin with, a second timeline/universe has been thrown into the mix, the purpose of which still hasn’t been made clear. Just a side note on this timeline, events have been changed at a point a lot further in the past than just from the point at which 815 originally crashed. Hurley is lucky, Shannon wasn’t with Boone and Helen seems to be engaged to Locke.

Now to events on the island which are getting more and more confusing as we go along!

We have a temple full of other Other’s and which contains a life giving pool. Who are these other Other’s and why can this pool give life and heal people?

Next, who and what is Nemesis? He can take the form of the Smoke monster but how? He tells Sawyer that he was once a man like him so what happened to change him? Richard knows who he is and says he wants to kill everybody but why? Ilana says that he now cannot change his current form; why not and how does she know this?

Then we have that cavern set into the cliff face. Jacob had written the names and number of potential candidates who destiny it would be to protect the island. As Sawyer asked, why does the island need protecting and who does it need protecting from? Why is the island so special?

And just to finish off with, who on earth was that blonde haired boy? The assumption would be Aaron but that seems too obvious. What is this boy’s purpose and what are the rules he made reference to? Nemesis did seem a little unnerved when he saw him and when he shouted ‘don’t tell me what I can’t do’, he did seem a bit worried or desperate! Who is this person?

These are just the major questions which have been raised by Season 6 and I imagine that more will follow; I’m not really complaining, I’m just thoroughly confused!! I know all you guys are trying your best to theorise on what’s going on but I just don’t know anymore, there is just such little evidence on which to come up with a realistic theory about anything anymore. I give up!
