Whatever happened, happened? Not in Bad Robot’s Star Trek

I’m not convinced the “Whatever happened, happened” idea is spot on. I was re-watching “Star Trek” (a Bad Robot Production: JJ Abrams directed and Damon Lindelof co-produced) the other day and in that movie the complete opposite is true. Spock and a Romulan vessel accidentally time travel and change the entire course of the future as he/we knew it to exist. Of course there is some (manipulated) course correction that ensues – but some of the changes were permanent and life altering. Also, in the end – there are 2 Spocks existing in the same time line (old Spock that time-traveled from the future, and younger Spock)

Not that it necessarily relates to Lost, but as some of the “brains” behind it are the same…it just made me wonder.

as for LOST, I'm a little more obsessed than the average bear - polar that is.

  1. …I forgot to mention – they specifically stated than an ALTERNATE REALITY had been created!

hmmmmmm, now where have I heard that before?

  2. Isnt there like an old saying that ‘if you ever go back in time, dont touch anything otherwise it will alter the future’?

Strange of me to say that as im pro WHH haha
