Obssessive much?
Ok, this is just in case someone is just as obessed as I am:
In “The Constant,” the auctioneer selling a journal from a first mate on the Black Rock claimed the final voyage set sail in 1845 and was lost at sea. But in this episode, Richard is imprisoned in 1867.
This change in continuity is likely due to the fact that the ship held dynamite, not created and produced until 1867.
So nothing fishy (I am fairly certain at any rate).

i was thinking about this earlier.. Maybe its just a cock up on the writers part
The Black Rock set sail from Portsmouth in 1845. It probably took at around a year or two to reach the Canary Islands, if that was its first stop. They probably were around that area trading slaves and making rum/tanning leather or whatever sailors did back then, until 22 years later the captain decides to buy some healthy new slaves from the local prison and set sail back to wherever, and end up crashing on the island.
