Untitled (A mini rant)
Wow, that sucks, if you believe Widmore, when he said Jacob brought him back and gave him remdemption and explained how to save the island. Why not Ben?
Is it just me or is it that maybe Jacob just wanted to die so he could pass the torch and be free. I think it is BS that he didnt even try to find a way to kill MIB after all this time. He just sat around being a pretenious prick looking down on the little people and watching them die one after the other and still brought people to the island.
Wow, Richard just died in such a callous way, but what do expect from the people that just killed off Jin and Sun after they had been apart for so long (both in tv episodes and the the show’s timeline)?
Why did they let Illana and Lapidus stick around for so long without adding anything to the story what so ever?
Well, two more days and I am finally free to get some actual work done, I feel like I have wasted six years of my life, and come Sunday, I dont think that is going to be resloved. I think if I ever do a rewatch, I will leave out season 6 and pretend it got cancelled in the fifth season.
I hope that they dont try that star wars crap and try to add an expanded universe with cartoons and prequels and comic books and books. No one had ever even attempt to try to make Lost the movie (this aint sex and the city).
I am jaded, I think I am going to actually take a haitus from tv for awhile and read ‘Our Mutual Friend’ and ‘The Dark Tower Triology’. There will never be another show like Lost (at least the first two season of feeling hip and cool about openly geeking out over a tv show and feeling superior around the watercooler because you have the coolest theory in the office). Farewell and good riddance.

I am really getting on board with you about season six. I am not buying the box set unless there is some top notch extra material about the evolution of the series and what went wrong with some of that shit.
After hearing that ESPN interview with Carlton Cuse I feel somewhat reassured. He was very forthcoming about some of the pressures and cavils of writing and producing LOST.
It’s trial and error man. A lot of the big mysteries seem to be character or story arcs that got dumped mid-way for various reasons. He describes how daunting seasons 1-2-3 were to write when they did not have an end date to the series. For all they knew, they were setting stuff up for a nine year run. I appreciated his honesty. It allows me to “let go” if you know what I mean.
Come monday morning I will sleep easier knowing Lost is over. (it will help me sleep that I am scheduled to work all night from Sunday to Monday, heh heh heh).
