Ok, bear with me, this is a long held belief of mine – well, every since John came back to life..
I have long believed that Jacob, the smoke monster and all the “ghosts” (ie, Christian, wet waalt, Yemi) are the same entity.

Christian had been to the island before and used the time machine,thats why we are seeing him now.Christian is dead,he died of a massive heart attack in australia.I think his body was found on the island and was burned and buried at the site of the balloon by the others.The two corpses in the cave are henry gale and his wife.I also think that locke used the time machine sometime early on in the 6th series before he died and the locke we’re seeing now is him when he time travelled.locke is dead and he was buried when his corpse was taken back to the island.Its the same with walt,he could have been to the future when he was held captive by the others.There’s no other real explanation.It will all come out in the final season,i’ve no doubt at all about this.
On the other hand the locke that committed suicide could have been a future version of himself who he sent back to the past when he visited himself in the future,got confused and did him self in.The locke were seeing now might well be the original locke, and he is’nt dead at all.Same could be said for christian.Anyone who has died on that island might well be a future version which was switched early on.You never know.We might see shannon,boone ,nicky charlie etc in the final episodes ,as right as rain.That would be a nice ending

I agree with u bc we no 4 a fact john is dead. But I think the smoke monster is at odds with Jacob obviously. They are not one in the same.
I don’t think that was john, at the beginning of the episode that dude was talking to Jacob. he said something about a loophole, it could be that guy.
It is definitely that guy(my guess Jeremy Bentham??) and he is the one that manipulates/confuses people.
