bigern245, I really like how you hit on the symbolic references of Backgammon in your post! I agree that the statue is more reminiscent of Sobek than Taweret. I think we can infer the battle is representative of a ‘chess game’, of sorts, but feel the stakes are much higher! Nice post! Log in to Reply
Thanks dabiatchishere. I was doing some research earlier today and found out that Sobek and Anubis are in fact rival gods. That would make complete sense. There are all of these ancient drawings of them battling good vs. evil. Log in to Reply
