Season 5 Finale

Written on 15th May 2009

For the record the creators of Lost just might be of the most complex minds of the 21st century. Hats off to you guys. Now, to my theories. The opening scene with Jacob and Anus is one to remember. Jacob being the good guy b/c he is wearing white and Anus being the bad guy b/c he is wearing black. There has been many biblical references in Lost though, there might be Egyptian references. For instance the Egyptian Gods consist of Horus, the son of God, and Sit, the bad guy. Jacob being Horus and Anus being Sit. What leads me to say this is b/c when Ben went to be judged by the smoke monster there were a few hieroglyphics of Horus and Sit, perhaps Jacob and Anus. Then in biblical reference Jacob and Anus are brothers, so i assume that Jacob and Anus in Lost are brothers. When Anus is telling Jacob “how did they find it” Jacob replying “i don’t know” Anus knows that it was Jacob who brought them to the island. So how, well as we know Jacob encountered with our losties and every time Jacob spoke to them he literally touched each of the characters, maybe a way to get them the island. Jacobs intentions for bringing so many people to the island is to prove Anus wrong, that civilization can be reached without a society already built. Though that just not be the only reason Jacob keeps on trying to bring people to the island. All i know is that Jacob and Anus cannot literally kill each other so they need somebody else to kill the other. Ben being the one that kills Jacob and in the season 6 finale Jack sacrificing his on life to kill Anus.
We know for sure know that Locke is dead but since the show has many biblical reference Locke and the rest of the dead losties must be somewhere in the afterlife. A few questions i ask myself is how come the losties that have died haven’t gone the afterlife but have been kept in the life between life and the afterlife (spirits). Is it b/c they know they cannot leave b/c there is still work to be done?
Another question is, the black smoke monster really Anus, so if it is the black smoke monster is that why Locke instead of seeing black smoke he saw a bright white light. Anus trying to manipulate Locke into thinking Anus is a good guy?
Back to my theories, in the very end when Juliet is destroying the nuke, the nuke doesn’t really go off it just sends all the people who have come back in time to the present time. That is why Jacob says “they’re coming”. When Miles told everyone what if the plans in Faraday’s journal is the reason why they’re here and to stop the future is to do nothing. That idea did cross my mind before the finale and for sure Faraday wasn’t trying to change the future, he was only trying to send his friends to the present time. Frank the pilot of the 316 flight still has much mystery behind him, what was he a candidate for?
What is in the guitar case that Jacob says that it is not his guitar case?
If you did not catch it when Illana talked to Richard, Richard said “what lies beneath the statue?” and Illana answered (in Latin) “our protector”. Jacob must have bigger plans than just dying in the merciful hands of Ben. I like it how Jacob tells about every character, “it is your choice”.
I cannot wait until the end of season six one of the most bothering questions i haven’t had answered is who is the Adam and Eve corpses? Also, noting each one of them has a rock one has black and the other has a white rock…

  1. I think someone esle mentioned on the fun section that Adam And Eve could be Rose and Bernard…and this is a bit of a longshot…maybe the white and black rocks were to symbolise just that…rose was black, bernard white…however that is probablly a bit of a long shot on my behalf…

  2. the adam and eve might be rose and bernard since the losties that went back in time are destined to go to the present and rose and bernard are not destined. b/c their destiny was to find love and peace in themselves and each other

  3. i mst say, your are jumping to conclusions with jacob. just because Lost is steeped in ancient history and mythology, im not sure why you would immediatly say that jacob is jacob from the Bible, and the guy he was speaking to was Anus.

if you were to compare jacob from lost, wth jacob from the bible, youd find little if no comparisons. for intance one of the first things we see of jacob is him being self suffieceint, and gathering food stuffs.
Whereas in the bible jacob is ridiculed for his lack of hunting skills.

also, just because he was wearing white doesnt mean he is good. and the other guy wasnt wearing black, it was a deep blue colour.
moreover, in egypt, as ive mentioned before, black is actually a colour that is presented as a saviour, and on the whole a good colour. white being good, is a very western thing.

  4. losts-columbo,surely my theories are not 100% accurate to what will happen in the sixth season, they are nearly thoughts that went through my mind when the screen went white and LOST showed up. Though you never know if my theories are correct. Thanks for you comment by the way, it made me think about how i jumped into conclusion.

  5. hi! sory, i re-read my coment and it sounded a bit harsh! i didnt mean to come across like that!

few theories are 100% accurate, and who knows! your thoughts are well worth a theory, any ones are thats what this space is for!
