“do u want a cup of tea?”
did anyone else think bernards reaction to juliet just before she left was weird?? well i did, and here’s my theory
after the bomb does/does’nt go off the losties flash back to a certian period of time (mostly likely 2007) in this time bernard, rose and vincent are in the middle of series 5 (and all those flashes) and are lost from the other survivors.
they witness the losties appear and their reaction to juliets apparant death before they dissapear again. That is why bernard has such a strange reaction to juliet and why he seemed to try and delay here
tbh this is probably nothing but i just didnt like the way we left rose and bernard, not the sentimental way i think it should have left them

This is an interesting theory…. could well be true.
Another important part of this exchange was Juliet’s reaction…
When offered the tea she declines and touches her stomach – many pregnant women do this subconsciously… and tea is not generally recommended during pregnancy…
It would be absolutely heart wrenching if she was… at the end the chains were wrapped so tightly around her stomach – perhaps she let go because she thought she had lost James and their baby too? sad times…
Harry, I fully agree with you.
Whether Sawyer knew or not, I’m not sure, but I don’t think he did.
This adds to the fact that she was so distraught to lose not only Sawyer’s love (to Kate), but also knowing that she wouldn’t have the happy family that she had hoped for the baby’s life growing up. THIS is why they showed the scene of Juliette’s parents explaining their divorce (which at first seemed kind of out of place other than to provide simple dialogue for he) as Juliette now realises that the baby will grow up with separated parents. This is why she had a change of heart and turned quite happy to nuke the island, as better to set things the way back to the way they were than to lose Sawyer’s love for her and her baby.
Good point about the chains too Jenni. Think you guys have nailed it :-).
Whether or not that may be what will happen, it certainly was a very strange exchange, and certainly one to take note of.
Wow….thinking outside the box..I like it
cheers guys
with regards 2 juliets flashback i think it was also the case of the fact that jacob did not come 2 her when she was in distress,it showed that she was not special or chosen or whatever
Harry – excellent point dude about how Jacob didn’t show up to console her as he did a similar thing for all of the other main losties – very cool :-).
