Lost Represents Our Existance On Earth
Maybe i am just repeating what you already think (sorry) but here goes:
You know what…I have read theories on many sites. This being my favourite now! I have never ever registered to leave a theory or comment. BUTTTT…yday reading sumthing..this theory clicked in my mind. Also
hi there lost my mind. im likeing this theory a lot. im thinking the same kinda thing as yourself, that lost is all about life and the world as we no it.i posted a theory last night myself called destiny and belief, you shud take a look and see what you think? its from a different angle though. i myself believe things happen for a reason and some things are just meant to be. i love lost also i think its brilliant and theres nothing else like it. it constantly makes you think doesnt it? eko rocks
I really liking this theory as well. And it’s simple. People can understand it clearly, which I think is what needs to happen with Lost or all of us will remain lost. 🙂 I really like, lostmymind! Great job!
I dont think Jacob is God. I believe the island itself is God and Jacob is sort of a representative. Kinda like Jesus. Yes Jesus is God according to Christianity but he was once also human. Your theory is very good but I think its more like this…

O6, the others, Dharma-Earth, human life, O6 just trying to get off the island, maybe just like humans trying to get to heaven and maybe little do they know they’re already there.
The dharma people-messing with science as people often do. Messing around with things they do not quite understand and maybe arent suppose to understand. Theyre fault is trying to play god.
Jacob- A Jesus type figure, a sacrifice, he didnt even try not to be killed by Ben, its like he knew it was going to happen. Ben lost faith in Jacob or maybe never really had any faith at all, just like the Jews killing Jesus. He cant be God as a whole, he was human God can not be human in my opinion, God cannot be killed.
My thoughts exactly.the story IS about life,death,love,hate etc.For the first 4 years lost was about human sociology right across the board.Things have got a lot more complicated lately which has confused a lot of people.
I have to say though that this show is’nt just about the people.
Over the years hollywood has made countless sci-fi shows and movies using the premise of time travel.Even though this idea was discreetly introduced at the end of season 4 the show went from an ordinary almost boring story about being stranded an a remote tropical island,to a gripping edge sci-fi story.
My proposal is this.this show is a vehicle for using the sci-fi premise of time travel to literally take the viewer back to the start of the story ever so slightly before it began,this would be making proper use of this time travel idea.A never been done before idea using this premise.To me the time travel premise has been wasted all these years before lost came along.Lost is going to use this premise how it was supposed to be used for.
Everyone enjoys reading.For the die hard readers out there this story is a unique way to read a book over and over again while continuing to progress through the story.If you enjoyed a book you read you read it again.this story will encourage readers to do just that.
It’s true i could be wrong.It’s a great and unique idea.I hope i’m not wrong because it would be another wasted opportunity to use this premise how it should be used.

50th state, have you never heard of the Dark Tower? What you describe is not unique. In fact, I’ve heard it called the ‘Dark Tower’ ending for a couple of years now.
