Eloise Wanted Jacob Dead
Eloise said they had to take Locke’s corpse back to the island. She said he would serve as a proxy or substitute. Maybe he wasn’t a proxy just to recreate flight 316.. Maybe she knew his body would serve a greater purpose of being a proxy or substitute body for ‘Bob,’ AKA Man in Black. In that case, she would have known of his intent to kill Jacob and would actually be trying to assist him.
Love the theory! I was also thinking this. Also, she is constantly preaching about destiny, which correlates to Bobs philosophy. Jacob seemed to believe in free will. Can anyone list which side everyone is on?

Who knows where Eloise got her information and knowledge on this subject. I bet we never find out.
or she possibly knew what MIB was going to do and sent the body on the plane so that Ilana and her crew might find out before MIB kills Jacob. she used to be a leader of the others, we dont know why she had to leave, but why would she want jacob dead?
