316
The name of the episode references the biblical passage John 3:16, which states: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I can’t help but wonder if this has anything to do with Richard’s seemingly everlasting life? Anybody have any thoughts?

Or do we suppose they are refering to John? Kind of confused about this, because of Richard’s anti-aging appearance.
Or is Richard like a guiding force of some kind like “God’s hand” or something of the sort. Like not real in the sense of a person more of like a thing or idea, philisophically speaking.
Like the smoke monster usually means dark or death. Richard is the opposite of the smoke monster maybe. I don’t know which is why I ask?
Now I have asked like 10 questions on one thread.
I personally don’t really follow the whole religion aspect of LOST, I just accepted that 316 was the flight number, and left it at that.
You dont have to fall into it, they push you in :]
Kind of the thing about Lost, it is meant to be followed in different ways. My favorite word to use on this site is…”perspective”.
