The end of season 5
How do we think this is gonna end???? personally I believe that the writers have always kept something up their sleeves, and this season, as has been speculated it is going to be that one or perhaps some of our characters are from the future. I believe Richard is part of the Dharma from the future. This is why he does not answer to Charles or Ellie or Jacob. The others believe Richard to have some perhaps biblical or historical significance becaue he apparently does not age and has a tendance to turn up at rather opportune moments. Richard has been sent back to ensure that Dharma complete their work. He has set up the truce, perhaps in another time Dharma were wiped out the moment they arrived. Richard knows they have to build the stations in order to help prevent a future catastrophe and he is trying to play things out in order to save the world – so to speak. So this season ends with Richard telling our losties that he has been sent back from 2020 ( or something like it) to prevent the fertility problem outlined by Hurley bird. And he was sent back by……????????? JACK?!
Hmmm..how does season 5 end? I hope in a way that nobody sees coming. The writers are so, so good at that. Love it. I for one was totally blown away when they decided to take little ben to the others/hostiles. I think that Ben has figured out that something is going on with the Temple and that is why is wants to go there, so I think we are going to learn something big there. Remember when Locke had the vision about Horace and then he found the map in Horace’s pocket. Remember the look on Ben’s face (I probably wouldn’t either but I just watched that season finale a few days ago.) He was totally shocked. I think that he was so shocked because he KNEW it wasn’t there before. I think that his wheels were turning when he heard that Eloise was the one who was going to help them get back. When he heard that Eloise was Daniel Faraday’s mother, I think that was the kicker. He was a pissed off puppy. I think that he genuinelly believed that he was in charge. That he was the only one who had insight into what was going on. He thought he was master of the universe. He wouldn’t tolerate any challengers and that is why he was so manipulative of Locke. And then, BOOM, sucka….you are just a pawn. You are being played. You weren’t told all the mysteries of the island. I don’t think that Ben has ever been allowed into the temple and he is damn straight going to go there to get to the bottom of this stuff. Come on Toto…were off to see the wizard.
GK21, I must say that I do like the notion that Richard Alpert might be from the future!
Now, that would be a real twist! Great idea!
Definately some reveal about Richard. it is long overdue.
