Locke’s Ability to Walk and Rose’s cancer cured!
When the plane crashed on the island, there was a giant flash (like the ones we are seeing frequently on Season 5). Maybe the flash made the plane and The ‘Others’ jump back to the past to a time before John’s accident happened, therefore making his disability redundant and also doing the same for Rose’s cancer. I also think that’s why children cannot be born on the island, as it is not in Real Time.
Only Ben and Richard are aware of the time travelling possibilities (as the other seem puzzled by the light) and so therefore know how every event will play out, therefore giving Ben the upper hand in every situation as he has already experienced it before (maybe even several times).
I truly believe Lost will end full circle, the writers will then not have to think too hard about an ending as there won’t be one. I also believe that we have seen a mixture of character appearing as their Season 5 selfs and not their pre-Season 5 selves. i.e John Locke always warning them not to leave the island.
I also have a mini therory that the O6 never got on the plane in the first place, it was their future selves who caught the flight, planted the decoy wreckage in the sea….this would lead me on to my next conclusive part….
I think it will end as it starts, with everyone crashed on the island having to go through EXACTLY the same situations again, like the past can not be changed and your future can’t be amended.
Locke has previously said he is a man of faith, not of science, and it his faith in the island leading him to his “destiny”, or what he has been lead to believe is his destiny by looping events!

jenana86, I really like your thoughts on how Lost would end.
I especially like the notion of Locke being led to his destiny by looping events. I think it can be applied to all of the characters.
If the flash in the pilot sent the losties to the past, do you suggest that when the 06 ultimately left the island, that the flash moving the island sent them back into Real Time? Could this be why no one (other than people with a strong understanding of the island – Whidmore etc.) could find the island?
There have been many a credited theorist who won’t appreciate this type of ending. I am not one of them (a very bright theorist that is) But as long as the producers keep there promise and answer the major questions I have know problems with the loop.
I do think something is still staring us in the face from ep 1 that is looming and shocking.
I had a similar thought in my “Changing the Future” theory. It started with thinking about the plane crash, and wondering if the 346 passengers of 815 that crashed and were discovered were not any of the Losties at all.
So let me see if I am understanding you correctly…because I like this point of view on it…
You are saying that the 06 don’t get on the plane, but people like pregnant Claire, Sawyer, Boone, etc all get on 815 in 2004 and do end up crashing on the island? And then, the 06 – directed by Jack the self-obsessed, savior leader that he is – tells the ULTIMATE lie by planting the wreckage in the sea? (I feel like I’m missing something here.)
Can you help me to figure it out?
Also, how does this explain Ben & Widmore’s power-struggles? And for what purpose does the O6 plant it – are they all back with everyone on the island?
Hi
I really like the first part of your theory. I am not so sure about the second, reason being if the O6 got on the plane in the first place they would have all known each other right!? and at the start we are to believe they do not know each other at all. e.g. Jack and Kate introducing themselves while Kate is working on his wound.
Obviously the O6 couldn’t let on that they knew people on the plane when they go back and maybe the crash and the flash when they crash erases theirs minds for some reason.
I don’t really know to be honest! It’s just what I think and I haven’t really thought about a reasoning behind it all.
Noone knows how it’s going to end, so I don’t think any theory can be eradicated. I however, will be going down the bookies with this and placing a fiver!
