  1. I don’t think that Charlotte’s death proved anything. Faraday told her in the past that if she returned to the island then she would die. He knew this because he witnessed it.

  2. I do not think she is dead yet. I think Locke MAY HAVE turned the wheel just in time.

The Pitch: So far the producers have shown themselves to be pretty sappy when it comes to love stories. The build up of Daniel’s and Charlotte’s story has not reached its logical apogee.

I think they misled us by showing Charlotte fall into a sort of coma leading to her final death and then show us Locke in the tunnel, when in fact LOCKE IS ALREADY TURNING THE DONKEY WHEEL at that point.

The producer-writers have created dis-continuities in the narrative before (remember the opening episodes in season 2 when Jack, Kate and Sawyer go down into the swan station?

If by turning the donket wheel again Locke has re-set the island, perhaps the effect that is killing Charlotte will stop.

Also, Charlotte suddenly remembers Daniel at the moment of her imminent death. I think Daniel (whom we see at the Orchis during the time of Dharma, will find Charlotte and warn her about the island. In that way he is creating a constant for her. I think that part two of the scene is Charlotte waking up from her near death experience,

  3. I don’t know. I don’t see Daniel leaving her body, without a burial, or confirmation. Then he wouldn’t tell young Charlotte she died. But with time travel and what not, no one is really dead. Who knows. I hope she’s still in it. Seems like she’d have too much to add to be gone.
Plus every time she passed out we’re to assume she was jumping back as Desmond did. Maybe that’s next weeks episode; we’ll get to see everything she did before she died, answering some questions for us… please answer something for us.

  4. And I don’t believe the o6 would die upon returning to the island. The time loop may have been stopped and it was that which was affecting them, not the island
