316 Didn’t Crash
I’m getting the feeling that Flight 316 did not crash. I think that when the bright light flashed a few of the passengers vanished from their seats and ended up on the island. Weirder things have happened on lost.
I have very little proof of this, mostly just a gut feeling. Except Jack did ask ” Did any of you actually see the plane crash?”
I also believe that Its possible not all of the 05 (+ Ben ) who were on the plane got back. Mabye Ben, Sayid, and Sun are still on the plane.
There were the white flashes on the Plane which were very similar to the ones when the Island has been shifting through time. Which i think means that they time traveled off the plane, similar to Ben time traveling off the Island.
I agree that the plane didn’t crash….but I do think all of the o5 made it to the island…. they just haven’t been found yet.
I bet there are also some passengers from 316 that are not the o5+ ben that made it to the island.
I thought it was obvious that the plane entered a time flash, which sent them into a different time period, being that of Dharma, as we see the Dharma bus in operation and Jin in a Dharma suit.
I thought I saw the armed guard on the beach in the preview for the next episode….perhaps she is a “proxy” for Kate’s armed guard?
Here is an odd thing that i noticed. It is obvious it was a time flash, but was it just for the plane? It seems like Jin has been in Dharma time for a while, and has gotten situated. So it doesnt seem likely that the island traveled through time as well
Daniel Faraday said that either the island or their group was traveling through time, but most likely them. It’s fascinating that it’s only them and not the Others/other people they encountered.
It could be then that when flight 316 came close to the island that all or some of the people on this flight were pulled into this time traveling group. This explains why they saw Jin and he seemed to recognize them (Jack, Hurley and Kate).
The big question is why are they still time traveling? Didn’t Locke “stabilize” the wheel? Or did the scene with Jin in the Dharma garb happen at a point in time before Locke fixed the wheel?
We know that when he fell down the well it was at some point in time not only before the Dharma station was there, but before the well was there.
i assumed that because the o-6 were a part of the time travelling group, that when the light flashed while they were in the air, they moved to another time, so the plane, and all the other people on it crashed onto the island in the present time, meanwhile the o-6 dropped out of the sky onto the island while in the 70’s. which is where the other losties were aswell. but then again this means there was a flash, which means locke fixing the wheel didnt’ stop the flashes? but Jin was in aa dharma outfit and everything, which means the losties left behind had settled into Dharma life, implying that they haven’t time shifted in awhile…..ugh, i’m confused.
Perhaps the on-island shifting stopped with Locke’s wheel turn. Then, to get acquainted with the “stable time zone” that the island is now in, the people who went from the plane to the island experienced one last shift so that they are in the time of the island. Think of the island as its own world, and once you go from the real world to the island world, you must shift and join the situation that is present on it, that now being the 70s DHARMA period.
Assuming this to be correct, I wonder what would happen the THIRD time Rousseau’s crew hits the beach. Does she recognize Jin? The other losties?
Maybe the flash that happened while they were on the plane was the island moving to their position. Not moving in time, just moving to their location?
