Radzinsky = Faraday
So my theory stems from this theory http://forum.lostpedia.com/showthread.php?t=30494
as this theory says Faraday’s diagram of time travel is the same as the map of the Dharma stations that Radzinsky drew on the blast door.
So now Faraday and co. are back in the 70’s about the time Dharma is being set up I highly doubt that more then one or 2 of the stations are actually set up at this time…
So Faraday knowing that time travel needs to exist in the future for them to be there now and he knows how time travel works he influences the creation of the stations in the correct locations so that time travel is possible on the island,

from here we learn that Radzinsky is a pretty smart guy, for one he has photographic memory (questionable because if he was in fact Faraday he wouldn’t need a photographic memory). Secondly he figured out how to fake a lock down and he edited the orientation film, and lastly he shot himself.
Why would he do these things? He needed to give the map to Locke to set in motion all the things that were to come, the orientation film I am not so sure about, but killing himself….
Faraday knows that whatever happened happened and he knows that if you create a paradox in time the universe is doomed, so he recreated all the things that needed to be done and he killed himself so that he would be long gone before Desmond came to the island and the loop of things that would happen with our losties would happen.
Quick thing about Lost the video game – In the game you could get a look at Radzinsky’s notebook (remind you of someone?) in the notebook there is some stuff about the blast door map and the ‘incident’ room.
The blast door map is considered canon as per the producers commentary on Access: Granted.
They stated that there is another spectrum to the blast door map seen in “Lockdown“, and it can be seen under a different light. This version of the map contains added notations and elements. “another spectrum to the blast door map seen in ” Lockdown”, and it can be seen under a different light.’
This part interested me another spectrum = time travel it can be seen under a different light = how time travel works and its parallels to the way the DI was set up.
Interesting, but I don’t think they’re going to turn out to be the same person.
If Daniel has a hand in planning the stations then why would he draw the blast door map in the first place? Who was he drawing it for? And his principle of “whatever happened, happened” means that he doesn’t have to kill himself for the purpose of avoiding contact with Desmond. If he is Radzinski and Desmond never met Radzinski then it never happened.
It’s a nice thought, but Faraday wouldn’t have all the questions and doubts that go throughout the map. The map is filled with guesses, and Faraday daman sure knows the answer for at least half the questions, specially having been on the Island since the 70’s.
It looks more like someone exploring the Island and trying to find out more about it than someone who already knew as much as faraday did…
smokey, this is an awesome theory! I have also entertained the same notions and observations as yourself on this subject.
Whether or not Radzinsky is Faraday is unimportant, as far as I am concerned!
They may have established a close friendship, and shared conversation, in addition to the journal and the map. This meeting could have inspired Radzinsky to start work on the map, and perhaps Faraday even assisted him.
There is no doubt in my mind, Radzinsky DID meet Daniel Faraday. It will be interesting to learn more about this relationship.
@highbrow – good question he is drawing the map for the losties namely locke because he probably found out about locke seeing it sometime in the near future, he would know desmond never meets him later so he would know that he has to kill himself because technically it already happened.
Dabaitchishere – thats pretty true you might be right but for now im pretty convinced there the same person but it would be interesting if they did just end up being friends maybe Radzinsky is a teenager in the DI right now and we haven’t met him yet and Faraday takes an intrest to him and whatever whatever…

Don’t know if it is a cheat or not, but I checked out the Internet Movie Data Base and an actor has been cast as Radzinski and appears in upcoming episodes. (I think it is the guy who keeps asking to shoot Sayid in next week’s show but I am not sure).
Sorry to rain on your parade Smokey. None of this precludes the possibility of Daniel assuming the identity (or at least introducing himself as) of Radzinski when he is partnered with Kelvin Inman in the Swan station years later.
As for Radzinski’s ‘suicide’ I have mused in the past that perhaps that is just a story Inman told Desmond (like the one about the contamination on the island). Point to a patch of rust and say it is dried blood. Good one!
