WHY BEN,SUN LOCKE DIDNT RETURN TO 1970’S
Because Be already existed as a child so a paradox would of occured, people counter that saying when sawyer overlooked claire having her baby that that meant two saywers were on the island but they were not in contact with each other. Some people also believe that sun was pierre changs baby meaning that she could not return, but what for John Locke. He wasnt born on the island so i dont see why he couldnt return there. Any theories.
Paradox would only occure if the beings became close, or touched more likely.
Its not the cause of the non returning losties.
i think that sun n ben are on the island in the 70’s so they cnt go back

If it’s ok for Sawyer to be on the island at the same time as himself then why isn’t it ok that Kate be on the island at the same time as herself? Chang’s kid is a dude though so it’s probably not Sun…
Didn’t we see Sun’s date of birth on her passport, when Widmore had her stopped at the airport? I’m pretty sure it said 1980, meaning she couldn’t be Pierre’s kid in 1977.
Coming in contact with himself wouldn’t create a paradox. Since the Island obeys the law of “whatever happened, happened,” nothing than old Ben could do would change anything, and a paradox can only occur is someone changes the past in a way that removes either their motive or ability to travel to the past and change it.
also look at miles sans facial hair in the episode where they show faraday, lapidus, charlotte before the island. miles looks a lot more like pierre chang there
