Ben Put the fake Plane in the Ocean, and killed Nadia
Hi. So why would someone carrying the same info Ben already had on island about the fake plane and its origins, etc. be killed? Would Widmore kill him? It was probably Ben, or maybe an extra Sayid kill.
This means Ben planted the plane, and doesn’t want Widmore to know the details about it. Ben uses this info to get Locke on his side against the freighter people (and I think Michael to join up too. Ben lies. A lot.
This makes me think that maybe Ben and his people killed Nadia and framed it on the guy Sayid kills. I mean… a picture of someone running a red light kinda near a killing is no proof at all. He could be watching the same people Ben is watching. Just like both the killing dude and Ben are around for Sayids funeral.
I believe Widmore’s dude (the guy Sayid thinks killed Nadia) in fact witnessed Ben’s people kill her and raced away to tell Widmore. He is then around at Sayid’s funeral to tell him and get him to join with Widmore vs. ben. But Ben gets to him first and employs his benipulation.
I thought of this last season, but forgot about it till now. The only problem I have with this is that there are not a lot of episodes left, and this seems like a minor issue.
Well, the new evidence indicates that it wasn’t Widmore that planted the plane… but I have a feeling for some reason that the guy who grabbed Miles last night (Ilana’s friend) doesn’t work for either Widmore or Ben and whoever they work for planted the plane.
ya i said the same thing about the guy who grabbed Miles into the van.

As for “that dead guy” that Naomi had Miles read, He was working for Widmore, bringing back the information and pictures about the open graves and the plane purchase.
Who remember Tom being off the island talking to Michael, Tom shows Michael pictures of open graves.
It was probably Tom who killed that guy and stole the papers he was to deliver to Widmore.
That doesn’t really tell us who had the graves dug up or planted the plane.
Could be Widmore waiting for his receit, and Tom intercepted his messenger to find out what Widmore is upto.
Or the messenger was bringing that info to Widmore about what Ben has doen, and Tom was stopping him from giving Widmore this info.
Either way, Tom stole the pictures and purchase receit from that guy!
ben had a copy too. but tom seems plausible if the third party theory is correct.

I always thought Ben killed Nadia. He lies about anything and everything, and will kill anyone, to get what he needs. If he needs Sayid to kill people, he’ll do whatever it takes to get him to do just that. i.e. kill his wife.
ekolocation, I too was in the camp that Ben had Nadia killed, in order to get Sayid to work for him.
I just re-watched the episode from last night, and Miles tells Naomi, that the man was delivering papers, for Charles Widmore . They were the copy of the purchase order for the plane, and the paperwork for the empty grave sites.
You will recall that the captain of ‘the freighter’, Captain Gault also stated, that it was Widmore who paid to have the crash of #815 faked.
You may also recall, that Ben had a tape of Widmore’s men beating up a man, who Ben claimed was one of his men. Ben was attempting to show the evil side of Widmore. I believe this may have been the same man, that Widmore intercepted, and his men subsequently killed after beating him.
If this was the same man, then I think it was he who was delivering the paperwork to Ben’s side.

Miles would have known if Widmore had killed that guy… Widmore was there in the video. Interesting video… I theorized a while ago that the guy in that video is none other than Liam Pace who I think has a connection to the island (working for his father-in-law or something) and it was Liam who programmed the Looking Glass code… Anyway, I digress…
I think Miles would have been like “This is Felix… Widmore killed him. He’s working for a man with super creepy eyes”…

and michael left a note saying not to trust the captain. i always thought that was weird considering he didnt seem to lie yet michael also seemed to want to help them
When Miles did the reading for Naomi it occurred to me that this guy could have been blackmailing Widmore so he got offed. That would explain how Naomi recovered his body and had it ready for Miles. It would also mean that she would know exactly how and why he died, making him a perfect test case for Miles.
Widmore clearly admits to Faraday that he staged the plane crash. When Faraday asks him why hes telling him this Widmore responds that he won’t remember it anyway.
