Where was Daniel Faraday?
I noticed for several episodes that Faraday seemed to have ventured off on his own, instead of being with the original losties. After watching last nights episodes it seems that he left the island??
When did this happen?
Any clarification on why and when would be nice. Thanks

he comes back in the episode some like it hoth. no explainations as such yet bt hopefully sum will be cumin soon. mayb ehe had to leave becoz wot happened happened, and he knew he wud be cumin back if that makes sense
The sub is arriving with people from Ann Arbor (assumed to be where the DI bigwigs are).
I bet he went for a burger and a beer at Good Time Charlies…

The Lamp Post was already there… it must have been since DHARMA had already found the island using the Lamp Post Station.
so jacob the scientist from ann arbor built it. thats my guess. i mean if its a new character, he either has to be an other or someone who recently came onto the island
I think that Daniel left the Island on the sub two weeks after they arrived in ’77, likely because he was upset w/ Charlotte’s death, and then returned three years later (IDK the reason, though). Once back, I believe he helps to build the Orchid.
I’m sure Daniel has a lot to do with the research conducted at the Orchid Station. I’ll bet that’s what they were working on back in Ann Arbor. However, I think Daniel must have revealed himself to be a physicist before he left the island. If they sent him away because he was emotionally unstable then why in the heck would they make him a scientist? Why would they put him in that position? Seems to me they would have just dropped him off at an asylum or with family or something and just left him.
The important question now I think is how did Daniel reveal himself to be this brilliant physicist without giving away his status as a time traveler or at least without giving away that he wasn’t just some dude working on a salvage vessel…
Maybe daniel has already told them the he is from the future, (why else would he be allowed to the ORCHID which as we have seen tonight is classified.) I think the ‘incident’ is daniel trying to contact the future from the hatch because why else would everyone be advised against using it to communicate to the outside would….as when the numbers (which reset the timer) arent put in the sky goes purple….another incident?? maybe the island was frozen in time, after the first incident (but opened a bit when desmond failed to put in the numbers in time, causing the plane to crash) then the purple flash at the end of series too is the second incident? who knows?xx
